AAPL raises dividend 10.53% --- New yield is 1.71%




Apple announced that it will be increasing its quarterly dividend from $.57 to $.63 a share. This represents a 10.53% increase and the new yield is

The ex-dividend date is May 11th and the pay date is May 18th.

Since I currently own 25.37 shares my yearly dividends will increase by $6.09.

AAPL:  10.53% --- $6.09

Total yearly dividend decrease is $201.89.

      I kinda feel the same way. I bought the shares last year for around $90 and the yield was at 2.5% (Sweet). Now due to massive price appreciation, the yield is pretty unimpressive. The dividend growth is super strong however and I'll likely keep the position.
