Recent Buy --- GE

I added a few more shares to the GE position.

  • GE:  53 shares @ $27.88 --- Yield  3.44%

Total capital invested is $1484.48 and will increase my dividends by $50.88.

GE below $28 looks to be a good value. If things continue to deteriorate, I'll probably at another 50 shares around the $25 which would put the yield at 3.8%.

Foward dividends are just over $9100.00.

  1. Another nice pick up. Looking at my portfolio today I also noticed GE trending lower and lower like GIS and others. At these levels and better we should be reading about more GE buys among our peers.

    1. DivHut,

I agree. There is some chatter about GE not be able to maintain the dividend which apparently is creating some anxiety in the marketplace. We'll see how it plays out.

  2. LOL! Are you a mind reader or what? Many of your buys are right in step with mine. I bought more and brought my DCA up. Need January dividends!

That's great! I have a crystal ball and a ouija board in my office.

  3. Another good one. I held GE in the first generation of my dividend fund, but had to sell it off to help cover tuition. It's on my watch list for future purchases for sure. Nice job!

    1. Dividism,

I'm focusing on several dow dogs right now including IBM, GE, XOM, and VZ.

  4. Nice buy! I bought another 100 shares of GE a couple weeks ago. I'll be writing about it soon. You did get a little better deal than I did. I thought a price around 29 was a good point to add more... Guess I should have waited! I might pick up some more at these even lower prices. My goal is to eventually sell calls on my GE holdings, but that will have to wait until volatility picks up.

    1. Scott,

You know how these thing go. One week $31 looks cheap and the next $28 seems expensive. You're consistent enough to filter out the noise!

  5. Nice buy. I have started looking at GE recently too, there seems to be a bit more room for it to fall. If there is a broader market correction (is that still a thing :)), you might get a chance to snag some more at $25 like you mention. That is the range i would be buying at too.

    1. DG,

GE seems to be range bound during the last 4 years and mid 20s to low 30s is the range. One day this company will bring out back towards 50.
