Well I was able to squeeze out a slight gain for June and am almost back to $900,000. Talk about reversion to the mean.
I have been bouncing all around 900k for 2 1/2 years now and am still there. It's crazy. At the beginning of this year I was thinking I would would finally escape gravitational pull and hit that ever elusive $1,000,000 mark. Things obviously went sideways in a hurry back in March and I briefly dipped below $800k.
Fortunately I kept cool and shifted some cash into my taxable brokerage account and added mores stock. I also was the beneficiary of a timely 401k rebalance at the end of March. At the end of June there was another 401k rebalance back. Buy low sell high. Rebalance...Repeat.
Hopefully the back half of 2020 is a little more stable. We shall see.

What a little, is like a bike's wheel turning in the mud. Maybe you must diversify your actives.
