Cisco raises dividend 10.53% --- New yield is 3.12%
Today Cisco (CSCO) announced it will be increasing its quarterly dividend from $.19 to $.21 which represents a 10.53% increase. The raise brings the new yield up from 2.82% to 3.12%. This certainly is a great raise after very strong quarterly results. Last year Cisco gave an equally impressive 11.18% dividend raise. I know there are always some risks investing in technology companies, but it appears that Cisco is firing on all cylinders as of right now.
The record date is April 2nd and the pay date is April 22nd.
Since I currently own 240 shares, my yearly dividends will increase by $19.20.
I always love seeing my passive income increase without any additional capital being invested. Coke and Digital Realty Trust should be announcing increases very soon as well.

Love the growth and continued dividend raises! Continue to transition and follow the changing tide in technology is tough, but I've got confidence they'll continue to do so.
ReplyDeleteW2R,
DeleteAbsolutely. I have really been impressed with both Cisco and Microsoft over the last few years. It seems like they are make a nice transition from tech growth to tech value.

Congrats on the dividend raise, MDP. That is a big raise and I wasnt expecting such a big one from CSCO. Not a shareholder, but since I work in the industry, I like to keep tabs on the company.

R2R,
DeleteCisco obviously isn't a typically dividend growth company, but I like the way they are growing their dividends and more importantly, running their business.

MDP,
ReplyDeleteI wish I could share in the CSCO benefits, wish I was. I am excited for the KO one, plus O seems to have given out 2 straight this year, hopefully that guy keeps it up.
Congrats,

DG,
DeleteThanks and I too am eagerly awaiting the KO announcement. O is a solid REIT that I should have bought instead of ARCP last year.

Congrats on the impressive raise. I don't own CSCO, but looks to be doing really great lately. Looking forward to seeing the KO raise though I don't expect a huge one.
ReplyDeleteDGJ,
DeleteYeah I got lucky in mid 2013 and bought INTC, MSFT, and CSCO all at very low levels. Hopefully the two I still have MSFT and CSCO continue to perform well.
