Recent Buys --- KO & GE

Today I added to my KO position and initiated a GE position..

  • KO:  50 shares @ $40.70 --- Yield  3.44%
  • GE:  100 shares @ $29.69 --- Yield  3.23%

Total capital invested is $5017.45 and this purchase will add $166.00 to my yearly dividends.

I now have over 260 shares of Coke. One of my goals this year is to reach 400 shares which based on the current dividend would pay me $560 each year. I'm slowly getting there! GE makes a nice complement to my EMR shares which have really spiked recently.

Forward dividends are around $7250.00. $8k I'm coming after YOU!!

  1. Nice buys. I'll likely be purchasing those two as well early next month after getting paid. GE is one of my larger investments. KO was my very first stock purchase I made in a custodial account when I was 13. It will be fun to buy some more soon.

    1. D&H,

I think $.375 is fairly optimistic and I hope you are right. I'll be eagerly watching for the raise!

  4. Great buys MDP. Both companies are paying a nice dividend yield above 3%. And with their long history, that is a 3% return that you can pretty much take to the bank. :)

Best wishes and continued success. AFFJ

    1. AFFG,

Yes solid stable reliable companies with a 3% and growing dividend is the name of the game. I think KO will deliver a nice raise in the next couple of weeks.

    1. Lanny,

Just ignore the crosshairs on your head. LMAO!! In all seriousness, if we divided portfolios and dividends by age I'd be fucked!! You are straight killing it!!

  7. Hi all, I hope it is okay that I am posting here. I really enjoy dividend investing, and with my background in excel, I have created a very detailed and automated spreadsheet for dividend tracking and portfolio managing. I originally created this because I could not find any decent automated spreadsheets online. I now use this for all my personal investments. The nice part about it is that there is very little ongoing maintenance once you get started, all you really need to do is input your dividends! Even if you have been using the same spreadsheet for 10 years, it might be worth your time to see what this one can do. It is very useful for managing: Buys, Sells, Withdraws, DRIPs, Contribution Limits, Yield on Cost, Portfolio Net Worth, ROI, Annual Dividends etc. If this interests you, send me an email: zkrichar@gmail.com
