Limit order filled --- BBL

I just found out that yesterday I had a limit order filled with BBL.

  • BBL:  60 shares @ $29.99 --- Yield  5.34%

Total capital invested is $1806.35 and will add $96 to my yearly dividends. Well I bought share a few weeks back in the $32s, so I guess a few more shares under $30 isn't unreasonable.

Forward dividends with this purchase, DRIPs, and recent raises puts me at $9000.00.

  1. If you liked it in the $32s averaging down to $29.99 should definitely agree with you. This is a solid passive income booster. Thanks for sharing.

    1. DivHut,

As you well know BBL and the energy companies can have wild swings in every direction. My energy position is at 10% and will probably over time drift back down to the 7-8% range.

  2. 9000 a year is fantastic. Not very long until you will reach the magical 10k mark. Very well done.

    1. BHL,

Yeah I'm pretty excited to hit this level. I may pause a bit here and see how the summer plays out! Either way I'll invest some every month going forward.

Man... I should start calling you Rampage. Like BBL, eh? Loved their improvement to the dividend this year, I hope they have learned to somewhat make it more sustainable.

    1. Lanny,

You and me both! I'm going to keep it at no more than 2-3% of total dividend income regardless of what they do. Learned my lesson well a few years ago!
