    1. FFdividend,

I will have to work on that. It is a miracle itself that I have the tabs I do. Luckily Ryan at My Dividend Growth created a short video on how to use Google Docs a few months ago. I may have to review his video to get some additional pointers.

I wish I were. I am in sales and that means 10-12 hour days six days a week. In fact, I am on pace to work over 300 days this year. Now you know why I am saving and investing so much. :-)

  4. MDP,

What a month! Those are eye-popping numbers, my friend. :)

I'd be just about financially independent on that type of dividend income. Keep up the great work!

    Best regards.

    1. DM,

Thanks so much. Reading your blog was the catalyst to changing my thoughts about passive mutual fund investing to individual stock dividend growth investing.

  5. MDP,

That is some great dividend income. With the amount of capital you are putting to work regularly you are heading for $1K a month real soon.

    1. Dividend SWAN Investor,

I am getting real close to averaging 1k a month in my taxable account. It is difficult to say for sure as some of my monthly income comes from mutual funds and high yield bond funds.

  6. MDP,

My comments are in line with the others here...... That capital spend on shares is huge. Would you mind explaining how you're able to fund it? Have you experienced a windfall or do you have a high paid job? (You don't have to of course!)

The passive income is very impressive, well done! I find your monthly income reports really inspiring. It's nice to see what I might be able to achieve if I keep plugging away.

Keep up the good work. All the best!

    1. Huw,

No problem at all. The short answer is I am in sales and typically work 65-75 hour weeks and only take off on Sundays. Sounds fun doesn't it. This is why I save a lot as I don't anticipate maintaining this type of work schedule for more than a few more years.

  7. Can't say it enough...love the progress, MDP! Loved your whole month of automatic buys and deciding to sell, and loved what you purchased with the proceeds. You're really hitting it out of the park lately, keep at it.

    1. Ryan,

Thanks for your support. As with all things I have some good, some bad, and even some ugly picks. Luckily dollar cost averaging has a way, over time, of making us all financial independent.

  9. Wow!!! That's a very impressive income! I hope I can achieve that level of income soon. Congratulation MDP, you have shown us this is possible if we put in our heart and soul to do it. I also wish that I can have the same amount of investable fund.

Thanks for the comment. I'm not going to lie. It takes a lot of sacrifice and effort over a long period of time to build up a business, but it can be done by those that burn the bridges to security and choose the path to opportunity.

      Best wishes,

  10. Man that's impressive. $13k added in one month will surely help out your dividends. I invested around $9.5k in July because I'd been sitting on quite a bit of cash for a while and that sure helped out my forward dividends. Keep it up!

Thanks my friend. $9500 in new investments is damn impressive. Congrats on the rise in forward dividends. It looks like, due to some recent world events, we will have further opportunities to get some deals.

  11. Congrats on another great month. Over $800 is wonderful. And over 13K of new capital invested in a single month is just mind blowing.

    Congrats once again.

  12. Wow, over 13k in contributions. What kind of sales are you in? I'm not sure if you mentioned that before. You are killing it! Those are all solid companies you bought. ESV is still looking really cheap but I have already a large position. It's going to be tough not buying more if it goes down in price any further.

    Take care

    1. Brent,

ESV at over 6% yield looks like a screaming buy. I told myself that I was going to focus on some "bread and butter" stocks for the remainder of the year, but I tend to veer of the beaten path. We'll see.
