Today I added PM to my dividend portfolio.
- PM --- 50 shares @ $88.59 --- Yield 4.70%
Total capital invested is $4436.33 and will add $208 to my yearly dividends.
Last year I owned over 200 shares of PM and sold out I believe around this price at the end of the year. This is an interesting company that feels like it should trade around $100, but just as easily could fall down to $75. I have a hard time understanding it's perpetual "little brother" status compared to MO. I'm glad that I own shares of both companies once again and look forward to the January dividends.
Forward dividends are now around $5000. 6K by year end?? Well of course that is going to happen. I do hate buying into new all time highs seemingly every month.
DEFY MEDIOCRITY
I own RAI, PM and a little MO (missed the big boat before the run up) and hate smokers. However, my mantra is if you can't beat em, profit off em. Keep on keeping on.
ReplyDeleteDWC,
DeleteKeep on keeping on indeed! I am indifferent about investing in "sin stocks" Trying to find a truly altruistic public company is impossible. All have flaws and have potential social pitfalls.

Happy to be a fellow PM shareholder. Nice current yield. I have enjoyed holding this name since 2007 and have no plans to sell. I used to own MO a long, long time ago before I became a dedicated dividend investor. Probably should have just held on to it.
ReplyDeleteDivHut,
DeleteThe yield is great and getting better by the day. haha I will add some more shares if it drops back below 80 or if I need to diversify the fund. Right now, oddly enough, I am underweight in the energy sector. Hopefully some of the integrated come back down in price a bit.

Excellant buy. New all times high today could be tomorrow's low
ReplyDeleteD&H,
DeleteNew all time highs seem to be the unending trend. We'll see what happens after the new year. Profit has to take place eventually....I think.

Nice job grabbing PM on the slide.
ReplyDeleteIH,
DeleteThanks!! I will certainly buy more if it slides further down into the $70s.
