Today I added to two monster businesses in my portfolio.
- XOM: 20 shares @ $83.89 --- Yield 3.58%
- KO: 40 shares @ $42.42 --- Yield 3.30%
Total capital invested is $3388.44 and the combined yield is 3.42% and will add $116 to my yearly dividends.
Two bread and butter companies that are dividend creating machines. These will be cornerstones in my portfolio for decades to come.
Milestone
$4000 forward dividends. Nowhere near my all time high of $18k reached last year, but I am on the hunt and will be aggressively adding to my forward dividend total.
DEFY MEDIOCRITY
I own KO want to add to it my mom owns XOM when she transfers it to me I'll own it.
ReplyDelete2 good pickups
D&H,
DeleteSweet! Those two companies could almost be a dividend portfolio by themselves. Thanks for stopping by!
MDP
I bought some CVX earlier this year but wish I had split the purchase between XOM and CVX to diversify my risk at the time. Great purchases.
ReplyDeleteMSM,
DeleteI too have owned CVX in the past. I think you were wise to split your oil holdings. I have Shell and BP in my portfolio as well, albeit much smaller positions than XOM.
MDP
MDP,
ReplyDeleteI am long both those gorillas. No matter their ups or downs, you still get paid and they still do what they do. Good choices, looking forward to a solid year of building for you. Keep it up.
Gremlin
Gremlin,
DeleteYou're doing a great job adding companies as well. I'm gonna do my best to get back to last year's levels. It will most likely take a few years.
MDP
Lanny,
ReplyDeleteJust getting warmed up! Watching MO right now.
