Weekly Sharebuilder Purchases

Here are my automatic investments for this week.

  • ESV:  13.25 shares @ $52.85 --- Yield  5.68%
  • CLX:  7.93 shares @ $88.28 --- Yield  3.35%
  • GE:  26.14 shares @ $26.78 --- Yield  3.28%
  • PG:  8.72 shares @ $80.25 --- Yield  3.19%

Total capital invested is $2800 ($700 in each company).  The combined yield is 3.88% and will increase my yearly dividends by $108.57.

$100/week Challenge---Week 6

Oil and tobacco companies have been on a surge lately along with everything else.  PG and CLX are underweighted so I added to those positions.  I will probably only make one or two more ESV purchases this year since it is close to full weight.  This will make it more difficult to increase my yearly dividends $100 per week going forward.

Stocks on my radar for next week are BP, KO, TD, PFE, PEP, PAYX, GE, and PG.

  1. Great yield on that lot. Love your dedication to saving and re-investing. Yah good time to get into more beaten up energy stocks.

    Good Day and Grind On!

    1. AG,

Thanks buddy! I plan on grinding on. Unfortunately that means long hours at work and little time to play. That ok though. It is the means to an end! The FI finish line is just a few short years away.

  2. MDP - I've always enjoyed seeing what you are buying every week. You never seem to skip a beat. And with weekly purchases, the compounding is likely to be even greater. By the way, we have our eyes on all 4 stocks you've mentioned but leaning towards ESV and CLX.

    Keep it up!

    1. AFFJ,

I'm a little behind in my FI goals, so I have to just put my head down and stay disciplined. Luckily once the snowball starts growing I will be able to ease up a bit on my purchases. Of course as I get closer to FI, I will probably increase my efforts. One day though, I will hop off this hamster wheel. :-)

  3. I am a big fan of your blog and a regular reader. I have started my own dividend growth journey from reading blogs like yours and few others. I am focused on dividend investing now even more than before.
I am really impressed with your regular weekly purchases. I definitely hit your blog on Tuesdays to check your purchases.
In fact, I am looking at adding to my position to PG and initiating position with CLX too. Both are attractively valued with good yields. I hope to do that sometime this month. Even though I like GE, I don't want to invest any more for sometime since GE is already my largest in my portfolio.

    1. DG Journey,

Thanks for visiting. Like you, I read a lot of other dividend blogs and get many stock ideas from them. PG and CLX are high on my list. They aren't cheap, but the great ones seldom are. I think you can expect consistent reliable dividend growth from those two.
