ReplyDeleteAFFJ,
DeleteIt's really difficult to believe that I am this close to being a millionaire. Like many have said before, it's just a number. It is damn hard getting that first million.

Fantastic work. You are where I aim to be in a couple years. Keep it up!
ReplyDeletePci,
DeleteThanks! Keep fighting hard and you can make it happen!
MDP
Fantastic work! Why do you have so much cash in savings though? Is there a downpayment you are trying to make or simply enjoy a lot of dry powder should the occasion arrive?
ReplyDeleteTMB,
DeleteWell I sold out of everything at the end of 2015 because of a divorce. I have rebuilding the portfolio back and have not completely rushed back in. I would imagine that by the end of next year my cash position will likely be around 30-40k.
MDP
Very nice, you are well on your way to reaching that magical 1 million mark. Well done to you.
ReplyDeleteBHL,
DeleteIt will be nice seeing that figure. Looking back at the hard work it takes to get there is the rewarding part......Self made!!

ReplyDeleteLETS GO!!! Build up those assets, cross 7 digits and put two middle fingers up! haha, you got this and great share. Motivational for quite a few people.

Lanny,
DeleteDouble middles and FU money!! Hell yeah!!
MDP
wow!!! great!! almost to a million. you will get there in now time. best of luck.
ReplyDeleteFV,
DeleteThank you and I'm working my ass off to get there! Not easy, but rewarding.

Looks like you recovered very quickly after your costly separation. I'm just wondering why $120K in savings while you could invest this? 120K seems a little high for emergency funds.
ReplyDeleteVivianne,
DeleteI know, I know, I know!!! Stupid me waiting for the "correction" I plan on being fully invested within the next 18 months or so!
MDP
Mr.W has over $300K, he's been waiting for a correction since ... all the time. That man is not going to invest anything. LOL :)
Deletevivianne,
DeleteI can understand his view point. That 2008-2009 recession made many people feel the same way....including me for a while ;)
MDP
Congrats! Looks awesome. Question: Why is your HSA low?
ReplyDeletedG,
DeleteACL surgery and rehab last year. Drained me! Building it back up though.
MDP
Sorry to hear that. Why not use your after tax monies to pay for those expenses? Gives a chance for you HSA money to grow tax free. I am not an expert, sorry if its a newbie question.
DeletedG,
DeleteWell I guess I just figured that's what the money is for so why not use it. I plan to build it back up pretty quick....barring another injury or illness. :)
MDP
So close to seven figures. If the markets doesn't correct, which I wish it would so we dividend minded people could get some more deals, you might make it in a year or two. Congrats on the journey!
ReplyDeleteDD,
DeleteYeah it's a weird feeling with the markets. I want them to come down so I can deploy more cash, yet I want to reach the 1 million mark as well. The conflict is real!
