Today I added to my MO position.

• MO:  5000 shares @ $41.19 --- Yield  8.74%

Total capital invested is $205,950. This purchase will increase my dividends by $18000. This brings my total share count up to 8370 shares. Total MO dividend income is now $30,132.

MO has had a rough couple of months and now is down over 13% for the year. The headlines and downgrades have been relentless. It's these time that I typically jump in and hopefully this proves to be a good entry point.

I haven't posted this year as I have not been adding dividend stocks after selling most of them last year. Let the fun begin again!

My final purchases of the year are additions to VTI and BND.

• VTI:  4 shares @ $242.18 --- Yield 1.15%
• BND:  6 shares @ $84.82 --- Yield 1.95%

Total capital invested is $1477.60 and the combined yield is 1.69%. Today's purchases will add $24.97 to my yearly dividends.

Weekly Stock Purchases

Yesterday I added to my MO position.

• MO: 180 shares @ $47.82 --- Yield  7.53%

Total capital invested is $8607.60 and this purchase will add $648.00 to my yearly dividends.

I now have an even 1000 shares of MO which will provide $3600.00 of yearly dividend income.  

I should also mention that I have 12 open $45 MO puts that have been open most of this year. The first 7 expire on Jan 21, 2022 and the other 5 expire in Jan 2023. The assignment of next month's shares would be around $41.50 so it is unlikely that I will be assigned unless MO drops $5 dollars or so during the next few weeks.

Today I added to my MO, IBM, and BP positions.

• MO:  200 shares @ $44.83 --- Yield  8.03%
• IBM:  40 shares @ $121.42 --- Yield  5.40%
• BP:  50 shares @ $26.77 --- Yield  4.82%

Total capital invested is $15,161.30 and the combined yield is 6.91%. These purchases will increase my yearly dividends by $1,046.90.

I continue to like MO below $45. I also would like to add XOM if the price drops into the mid $50s.

• MO: 250 shares @ $44.54 --- Yield  8.08%
• IBM:  50 shares @ $120.38 --- Yield  5.45%
• CAH:  50 shares @ $48.14 --- Yield  4.07%

Total capital invested is $19,561 and the combined yield is 6.78%. These purchases will add $1,326 to my yearly dividends.

The markets have been rebounding nicely so far in December, but I still like these names. I'm also keeping my eyes on MRK as well and will start a position below $70.

Today I created a new position in CAH and added to MO, IBM, VTI, and BND.

MO:  100 shares @ $42.60 --- Yield  8.45%

IBM:  50 shares @ $117.40 --- Yield  5.59%

CAH:  25 shares @ $46.71 --- Yield  4.20%

VTI:  4 shares @ $235.15 --- Yield  1.21%

BND:  6 shares @ $85.38 --- Yield  1.95%

Total capital invested is $12,750.63 and the combine yield is 5.95%.  These purchases will increase my yearly dividends by $758.35.

I've been buying VTI and BND throughout the year towards the end of each month.  Traditional dividend stocks continue to underperform so I'll gladly add to these position and start new positions as well.

Black Friday Buys --- MO, IBM, BP

 

Today I added to MO, IBM, and BP.

• MO:  250 shares @ $43.36 --- Yield  8.30%
• IBM:   75 shares @ $115.29 --- Yield  5.65%
• BP:   40 shares @ $25.70 --- Yield  5.02%

Total capital added is $20,514.75 and has a combined yield of 7.04%. This will increase my yearly dividends by $1,443.60.

Today I added to my MO position and initiated a position in IBM.

• MO:  10 shares @ $44.11 --- Yield  8.16%
• IBM: 5 shares @ $116.35 --- Yield  5.64%

Total capital invested is $1,022.85 and has a combined yield of 6.73%. This week's purchases will ad $68.80 to my yearly dividends.

MO continues to look pretty solid at these levels. I'm also keeping my eyes on BP, VZ, WBA, and AMGN.

Total capital invested is $699.80 and the combined yield is 6.99%. These purchases will add $48.90 to my yearly dividends.

Total capital invested is $215.28 and this purchase will add $20.64 to my yearly dividends. MO continues to be my largest position so I will nibble when the value is there.

Today I added a few shares to existing positions.

• BP:  14 shares @ $14.89 --- Yield  8.46%
• IBM:  2 shares @ $107.24 --- Yield  6.08%
• AFL:  5 shares @ $34.78 --- Yield  3.22%

 

 Total capital invested is $596.80. The combined yield is 6.08% and will add $36.28 to my yearly dividends. October is starting off pretty rough in the markets. Will be adding more on further weakness.

Today I added to my T position.

• T:  13 shares @ $26.97 --- Yield  7.71%

Total capital invested is $350.57 and will add $27.04 to my yearly dividends.

T continues to underperform the broader market for the year, well decade really. We are approaching the March pandemic lows which means the yield is very appealing.

I have $250,000 in CDs that are up for renewal during the next 8 months so I continue to looks for replacement income and T is a good solution for sure. Replacing 1.5%-2.5% CDs with 7.75% with future capital appreciation (hopefully) works for me. My intention is to replace the first $100,000 CD @ 1.4% with $10,000 of T which replaces half of the lost income. I'll replace the rest of the lost income with other stocks.

Today I added a few shares to my BP position.

• BP:  25 shares @ $16.64 --- Yield  7.57%

Total capital invested is $415.95 and will add $31.50 to my yearly dividends.

BP has already halved its dividend this year so it should be good going forward. I bought most of my shares during the March lows and we are approaching those levels again so hopefully this will prove to be a good buying point.

Today I added a few more shares to my XOM & T positions.

• XOM:  7 shares @ $34.55 --- Yield  9.96%
• T:  9 shares @ $27.99 --- Yield  7.43%

Total capital invested is $493.77. The combined yield of these purchases is 8.67% and will add $42.08 to my yearly dividends.

I'll keep nibbling at T here. If the yield on T reaches 10% I'll likely add a few hundred more shares. XOM probably won't maintain the current dividend. I expect at least a 50% cut in the coming months. We'll see.

• AFL:  7 shares @ $36.05 --- Yield  3.11%

Total capital invested is $522.92. These purchases have a combined yield of 6.10% and will add $31.92 to my yearly dividends.

MO, by current value, is my largest holding and AFL is one of my smallest. Both look good at these levels.

Today I added some more CSCO shares.

• CSCO:  7 shares @ $39.77 --- Yield 3.62%

Total capital invested is $278.37 and will add $10.08 to my yearly dividends.  Love the yield here. Above 3.5 with hopefully a 6-8 growth rate going forward.

Today I added a few shares to my MO position.

• MO: 6 shares @ $40.90 --- Yield 8.42%

Total capital invested is $245.40 and will add $20.64 to my yearly dividends. MO is my largest position, but I couldn't resist nibbling a bit here at this yield level.

I hope to build up my positions in CSCO and AFL in the coming weeks.

Total capital invested is $260.19 and will add $7.84 to my yearly dividends. Pretty boring purchase, but I'm underweight in the financial sector so it's a good addition.

Today I added a few more shares to my T position

• T:  9 shares @ $28.96 --- Yield  7.18%

Total capital invested is $260.64 and will add $18.72 to my yearly dividends.

I have a several CDs expiring soon so I am hope to continue getting good yields from stable companies as I replace the lost interest income. T is bond-like and should be a good payer and hopefully hold steady around $30. Not much growth, but I'm interested in the income. I almost added more XOM, but it a rather large position. I will be watching it though.

Today I added a few more shares to my XOM position.

• XOM:  7 shares @ $37.98 --- Yield  9.16% (Currently)

Total capital invested is $285.86 and will add $24.36 to my yearly dividends. XOM is about 7% of my portfolio a bit over 1% of my net worth. Once mightier than all a few years back, it's now struggling big time.
