I did some last minute Christmas shopping today.
- CAH: 100 shares @ $44.30 --- Yield 4.31%
Total capital invested is $4430 and will increase my yearly dividends by $191.00.
Many stocks are on my radar including the ones listed yesterday. UPS, CAG, HP, BBBY are in free fall right now so I hope to add one or two of these names by year end.
Dang - I put in a limit order for CAH late in the day after it already hit its low and missed it. I just initiated the position last week and will continue to build it. Goes ex-div next week. I may try again Monday.
ReplyDeleteWhat about GS, you owned a piece of this stock back in the day if I recall correctly? Relatively low yield, but trading below book value and has been in free fall along with FDX, but GS has some controversy surrounding some of its transactions. Its on my radar, I just need to look into a bit more. Merry Christmas!
PIV,
DeleteI am most definitely watching GS. I bought it a few years back around 140 or so and sold in the mid 200s when the yield fell to 1%. It has recently fallen about $120 so it looks pretty good here. May see if it reaches a 2.5% yield. That would be a deeeeep discount and the dividend payout ratio is very low as well.

Wow, 100 shares. That's a nice position right there MDP. I added some shares recently and will continue increasing if the price continues to fall. Congrats and enjoy the extra income.

Bert,
DeleteThat's awesome bud. I hope we see continue to see overall weakness as I am super heavy in cash right now and there are several companies that have gone from 3% yielders to 6% yielders this year. Happy hunting!
