Weekly Sharebuilder Purchases

Here are my purchases for this week.

  • CLX:  4.59 shares @ 87.06 --- Yield  3.26%  (initial position)
  • ESV:  7.65 shares @ 52.32 --- Yield  5.73%
  • WM:  9.56 shares @ 41.86 --- Yield  3.58%
  • PFE:  12.56 shares @ 31.86 --- Yield  3.26%
Total new capital invested is $1600.00 ($400 in each company).  The combined yield of these purchases is 3.96% and will add $63.36 to my yearly dividends.

I wanted to buy more share of BAX, but the stock popped quite a bit last week.  Clorox is not cheap here, but you can grow old waiting to invest in a great company like this!  I plan on building a full position in CLX throughout the year.

  1. Nice purchases.

I was thinking of initiating a position in BAX as well but it did pop with the news of splitting off. CLX is not a bad alternative. Cheers.

    1. Thanks for visiting Richie. I agree the Baxter pop was surprised. I really wanted to keep adding more shares, but I will hold off a bit and hopefully get a lower price in the future.

Clorox does not appear cheap, but then again it probably looked expensive 10, 15, 20, 25 years ago as well. :-)

Hopefully the company continues to perform well while raising future dividends.

    1. S Arun Vivek,

Thanks for commenting. It would be great to buy some more shares in the low 80s. More importantly, it will be wonderful if Clorox continues its tradition of raising its dividends each year.
