Today I added to my position in Chevron.
- CVX: 10 shares @ $101.66 --- Yield 4.21%
Total capital invested is $1023.55 and will add $42.88 to my yearly dividends.
It was difficult deciding between WPC and CVX this morning. In the end I went with the more powerful company and will continue to monitor WPC as well as HCP.
Nice purchase, MDP.
ReplyDeleteCant go wrong with CVX and that yield. If I didnt have enough of investment in energy, I would buy more CVX at these levels.
Best wishes

Roadmap,
DeleteI am a bit heavy in energy as well so I try to add other non energy companies around my energy purchases just to keep things somewhat balanced. I never expected oil prices to stay down for so long. I guess I should have expected the unexpected. :-)

Great buy! I purchased CVX at $110.09 back in April - oops. I currently have a limit order set at $100 to average down my position. Thanks for the update!

Dividend Empire,
DeleteMy basis in CVX is probably around $113 or so. This is the lowest I have paid for shares and have paid in the 120s a year ago. Don't look back. Keep focused on adding solid companies and you will do well over time.

CVX has been selling off some really great assets for a song (especially in New Zealand and Australia). I have been shorting CVX using puts for nearly a year.
