Recent Buy --- BMY

Today I added to my BMY position.

  • BMY: 40 shares @ $48.98 --- Yield 3.18%

Total capital invested is $1966.15 and will add $62.4 to my yearly dividends.

I just got back from a vacation on a cruise ship and noticed BMY has dropped quite a bit over the past week. Since it is one of my smallest positions, I decided to add a few shares.

Other stocks on my radar include JNJ, VZ, XOM, and TGT. I may lighten up on TIS as well since it is approaching $30.

Forward dividends are around $6475.00.

  1. Nice buy there. Another dollar to add to your income.

Could I suggest using a tool to screenshot your purchases? Windows has a built in one, unsure about a mac, but there are other tools to help. Search for "upload screenshot program" in Google.

    1. BHL,

I'll look into it. I post most of my blog entries from work so I don't know if that is even possible from a desktop...

Another purchase down and another step closer to $7K. Nice move here and you're staying consistent. JNJ hard on the radar...

    1. Lanny,

JNJ looks pretty good here and I am finally close to the point where I can just add shares here and there to existing positions. Hell if I just add to XOM, JNJ, PG, and KO for the rest of the year I would probably do great in the long run!

    1. Alex,

I like it better than Shell, BP, and CVX. Low $80s seems to be a pretty good price range.

  4. Picked up 11 shares of JNJ this morning at 111.25. My first buy of the year to bring my JNJ total to 65 shares. First of many buys if the markets would slow down.

Glad to see you easing in and not going ballistic.

    1. DWC,

Nice buy of JNJ. Can't go wrong adding shares of that company year after year!
